Your family is important to you, which means their health is also important to you, including their oral health. If you want to keep every part of your family healthy, then it is important you provide them with healthy foods, including snacks.

Not all snacks are as good as you think they are, so it is important that you make sure to give them the best options around. Here are some great snacks to help keep every part of your family's body healthy.

Top Snacks to Provide Your Family

Yogurt is a great snack for you and your family. It provides a lot of calcium directly to your mouth and your teeth, allowing your family's mouth to stay healthier. It is also low in sugar, allowing it to help protect your family's mouth against tooth decay.

Produce is another great snack option for your family. Teach your children young that vegetables are the ideal healthy snack for them to eat. They should reach for carrot sticks, celery ribs, or pepper slices when they are hungry due to how healthy those options are.

If they want alternatives to vegetables, fruits that have skins you are supposed to eat should also be around. Think about having pears and apples in a bowl within reach of your children, if you want them to graze on healthy options.

Nuts are also a great option when you want to offer healthy snacks. When you chew up nuts, the abrasive texture helps to clean off your teeth, plus it pushes on your gums slightly. This can give your gums the workout they need to hold tightly against your teeth.

If you want alternatives that are also healthy for your family's mouths, then contact our office. They are full of great options that would be perfect for you and your family.
